5 Things you need to have for a healthy successful relationship.

There are so many important essential things you need to have in your relationship in order for it to be a healthy and successful one! I want to discuss with you 5 of them: Communication, honesty, trust, respect and understanding. Keep in mind that it takes 100% participation from both partners. Successful relationships involve work; you have to find new ways to keep the true love alive along with these 5 relationship keys.

1. Communication- I can’t stress the importance of communication enough. If you aren’t able to open up and talk about things, than you don’t have a solid relationship. When people have things on their mind and let them go without discussing it, it usually manifests itself elsewhere; this can turn to many other things such as grudges, bitter and resentful towards that person. When you want to have a discussion with your spouse, simply let them know, they can't read your mind. When you are talking to them speak polite with a soft tone; make good eye contact. Do not have an important conversation by texting! This is a big NO NO and it can be highly mis communicated.

2. Honesty- Being honest and not lying is crucial to a good relationship. Even “white lies” are not healthy for a good relationship. Being honest makes the other person trust you.

3.Trust- Without this YOU simply have NOTHING. If you can’t trust your partner, than there’s a problem, the relationship will not survive. Please understand that trust has to be gained, you have to build it. You want to build a solid foundation on trust. Listen, keep your promises and be responsible. Let your actions match your words.

4. Respect- A healthy relationship has a key element of mutual respect for one another. It's okay to disagree on some things if you can't see eye to eye on it, but you must respect each other’s opinions and differences.

5. Understanding- At times you need to understand that spouses need time of their own alone. For example, they may need to take time spending it alone with God. Or they may have had a rough day and just simply want to relax. Learn to understand that we all need time to ourselves, without being selfish don't you?

If you find this beneficial and know someone who can use it for themselves, please share it with them.  Sharing is caring!

 Love Always,
